Body pulled from pond near Des Plaines, police say

MAINE TOWNSHIP, Ill. (WLS) -- Authorities pulled a body from a north suburban pond on Monday morning, police said.

The Cook County Sheriff's Office said police responded to Linda and Holly lanes in unincorporated Maine Township around 10:50 a.m. That's near Des Plaines.

Responding officers found the body of a male of an unknown age in the water.

The body was taken to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office, where identification is pending.

Police are investigating but said there is no indication of foul play.

The Cook County Sheriff's Office asked anyone with information to call its detectives at 708-865-4896.
