Boy, 13, dies after collapsing at basketball practice in Plainfield

PLAINFIELD, Ill. (WLS) -- A middle school student who collapsed during basketball practice in Plainfield, Ill., has died.

He collapsed after practice on Wednesday and was pronounced dead at a Joliet hospital.

He was not enrolled in District 202, school officials said, but played in a private league that practices at Plainfield Central High School.
