The homeowner opened the door to the home and it exploded, officials said

CALUMET CITY, Ill. (WLS) -- No one was injured in an explosion at a house in the south suburbs Wednesday, a Calumet City spokesperson and homeowner said.
The homeowner at a home near 155th Street and Price Avenue was renovating the site, and had some gas work done Tuesday.
The homeowner was notified of a possible gas leak. And when a worker opened the home's back door, there was an explosion inside.
The home's windows appeared to be blown out later Wednesday.
No one else was inside at the time, officials said.
