Now, Chance is inviting fans to join him at a special screening of his concert film, "Magnificent Coloring World."

"Coloring Book" was the first streaming-only album to win a Grammy in 2017 for Best Rap Album. The mixtape also won Best Rap Performance and Best New Artist the same year.

Chance The Rapper reflected on his career milestone in an ABC7 Exclusive with Val Warner.

"I think it made a lot of people feel like things were possible with a small team, as opposed to going the major label route. So, I'm proud of it," Chance said.

Chance is hosting three special screenings of his concert film "Magnificent Coloring World," starting in Chicago on Saturday, May 16. The film had a limited run with AMC Theatres in 2021. Chance, who is from Chicago's Chatham neighborhood, said it's important for him to start celebrations and screenings in the city.

"Whenever I think of movies, I don't think of Hollywood or New York, I think of Chicago," Chance said. "So, to be able to open the movie here, to be able to, like, link with my fans and show them the experience that so many people have been waiting for, it just makes sense. And it's, it's Chicago!"

Tickets are now on sale for the Chicago screening at Rooftop Cinema Club, which includes a Q&A session with Chance. Additional screenings are scheduled for New York on May 20 and Los Angeles on June 20.

Chance said he's proud of the "Magnificent Coloring World" project, and while humble when reflecting on the impact of "Coloring Book," he shared this message with aspiring artists: "Stay at it, because the means is relative. I think you use what you have at any moment, and sometimes you feel like you have more, sometimes you feel like you have less... But as long as you know what the dream is and you know what the goal is, you can get to it and make sure that you work with your friends, people you can trust," Chance said.
