
MOKENA, Ill. (WLS) -- Five vehicles were involved in a crash on I-80 in the south suburbs Thursday morning, Illinois State Police said.
Police said at about 5:39 a.m., a passenger vehicle struck a deer and that vehicle was then hit by four other vehicles.
The driver of the vehicle that hit the deer was transported to the hospital with injuries, police said.
The crash occurred at about 5:40 a.m., police said lanes of I-80 East were closed at Wolf Road. Be 7:15 a.m., two left lanes were back open.
