1 killed in rollover crash on SB I-294 exit ramp to I-290, Illinois State Police say; ramp reopens

ELMHURST, Ill. (WLS) -- A driver was killed in a truck rollover crash that closed an exit ramp from the Tri-State Tollway to the Eisenhower Expressway Wednesday morning, Illinois State Police said.

The crash occurred on the Southbound I-294 ramp to the inbound Eisenhower Expressway at about 4 a.m.

State police said the truck rolled over after losing control and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Video showed the cab of the truck was heavily damaged.

The ramp was closed for hours before later reopening after 10:30 a.m.
