Chicago Auto Show 2026: Families spend night camping inside McCormick Place

CHICAGO (WLS) -- It's the last weekend of the Chicago Auto Show over at McCormick Place.

About 30 people, including children, spent the Saturday night into Sunday on the show floor with Overlanding Chicago.

It's a space dedicated to showcasing an outdoor lifestyle and then some.

Since its debut last year, the showcase draws a unique crowd looking to explore life outside the urban jungle with their vehicles.

This is the first year, Overlanders have spent the night on the Chicago Auto Show floor.

Although this year's display features specialty vehicles, off-road accessories and much more, those enjoying the lifestyle say overlanding is about so much more.

On Sunday, doors to the Chicago Auto Show open at 10 a.m.

The last day to attend the show is Monday.
