
CHICAGO (WLS) -- A person was injured, and a bus shelter destroyed in a crash on the North Side Sunday night, Chicago police said.
Police say an SUV sideswiped another vehicle at Ashland and Belmont avenues just before 10:40 p.m., and then careened into the CTA bus stop.
A 19-year-old man was driving a white SUV south on Ashland before making a right turn on Belmont and hitting the other car, which was traveling west on Belmont, according to police.

A man standing nearby was hit and suffered non-life threatening injuries, police said. He was taken to Illinois Masonic hospital in good condition.
Neither driver was hurt.
