Person seriously injured in Humboldt Park shooting, Chicago fire officials say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A person was seriously injured in a shooting Friday afternoon on the city's West Side, Chicago fire officials said.

Chopper 7 was over the scene near Chicago Avenue and Homan Avenue in Humboldt Park, where there was a large police investigation.

There was crime tape up around a pair of cars, and police officers appeared to be questioning multiple people.

CFD officials said a person injured in a shooting and was taken from the scene around 3:30 p.m. to a hospital, in serious to critical condition.

ABC7 has reached out to police for more information.
