
CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man was stabbed during a fight Wednesday evening on a CTA Blue Line train downtown Chicago.
The stabbing happened around 7:25 p.m. in the 500 block of South LaSalle Street in the Loop, Chicago police said.
A 36-year-old man was in a physical altercation with an unknown male offender, who struck the victim with a sharp object, police said. The incident may have happened between the Clinton and LaSalle CTA train stops.
The victim was injured on his neck and the left side of his body, CPD said. He was taken to a hospital in fair condition.
"Blue Line service running with delays due to a police investigation at Clinton," the CTA said in an alert. "Trains, in both directions, are running on the same track between LaSalle and UIC-Halsted stations. Board/exit all trains on the O'Hare-bound side of the platform at trains on the O'Hare-bound side at LaSalle, Clinton and UIC-Halsted stations."
No further information was available as Chicago police continue to investigate.
