CHICAGO (WLS) -- Travel is top of mind during the Labor Day weekend. When booking future trips, watch out for fake travel websites.

New data from BrandShield finds scammers are registering look-alike websites using the names of major airlines and hotel chains at a skyrocketing rate.

BrandShield says fraudulent domains tied to some major travel brands are up as much as 122% compared to last year.
