Man stabbed in the Loop, Chicago police say suspect in custody

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police are investigating a stabbing in the Loop on Sunday morning.

The stabbing happened at 9:18 a.m. near State Street and Monroe Street, police said.

Police said a 34-year-old man was injured during an altercation with another person.

The victim was taken to Northwestern Hospital with multiple lacerations to the upper body. CPD said he is expected to be OK.

The suspect was taken into custody, and charges are pending.
