South Loop business damaged, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police are investigating the damage left at a South Loop business on Wednesday.

The crime happened at about 3:45 a.m. at Astoria Marketplace Store at 9th and State Streets on Wednesday, police said.

Video shows shattered glass and damage left to the front of the business.

A witness told officers they saw a black Jeep hit the side of the building and take off.

The store manager told ABC7 it appeared as if thieves were going after the ATM.

Nobody is in custody.
