2 in custody in North Side break-in, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Two women alleged used a brick to break into an Old Town grocery store on Tuesday, Chicago police said.

It happened at about 3:29 a.m. at the Fresh Market in the 1200-block of N. Wells Avenue, according to Chicago police.

Video shows the broken glass on the sidewalk.

Chicago police said the suspect ran off with store items but didn't get far.

CPD officers tracked them down a short time later.

They were placed into custody; charges are pending.
