Crash-and-grab thieves steal gas station ATM on Near North Side, police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police are investigating a crash-and-grab at a Near North gas station on Tuesday.

It happened at about 5:25 a.m. in the 700-Block of North Wells Street while the gas station was open, police said.

A group in a light-colored Jeep SUV crashed into the front doors and took the ATM.

The Jeep was left at the scene near the pumps.

No injuries were reported.
