CHICAGO (WLS) -- A Chicago man has been sentenced to six years in prison for sexually assaulting a high school student more than three years ago.
A judge sentenced Emmanuel Ortega-Garcia on Thursday.
Ortega-Garcia met the 16-year old victim on a CTA Bus in October of 2022, Chicago police said.
Prosecutors say he followed her into a gas station then a Wendy's on North Western in Lakeview.
Police say she texted someone for help. Restaurant staff and Lane Tech High School security detained Ortega-Garcia.
Ortega-Garcia filed an amended plea Thursday for one count of aggravated criminal sexual assault.
