2 critically hurt in Near North Side shooting, Chicago police say
The shooting happened at about 9:17 p.m. in the 800-block of N. Dearborn Street, police said.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 37-year-old Chicago man faces several charges after a shooting critically injured another man on the Near North Side earlier this week, Chicago police said Thursday.

Florencio Craig has been charged with attempted first-degree murder, aggravated battery and aggravated discharge of a firearm in the shooting.

CPD said Craig was arrested just before 9:30 p.m. Monday in the 800-block of North Dearborn Street, after he shot and critically injured a 34-year-old man.

Chicago police previously said Craig was also critically injured in the incident.

Both were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

A weapon was found at the scene.

Craig is due in court Thursday.
