A spokesperson for the town of Cicero confirmed that an ambulance took an injured fighter to Loyola University Medical Center around 8:38 p.m. Friday, and he was pronounced dead Saturday morning.

The deceased fighter was identified as 31-year-old Isaac Johnson, who lived in Chicago, the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office said.

Promotions for the Matador Fighter Challenge Friday night at Cicero Stadium showed Isaac Johnson in a heavyweight Thai matchup.

A fight promoter posted a message to social media Saturday, saying Johnson collapsed at the end of his fight Friday.
