
CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man was shot and killed near a gas station Wednesday on the city's South Side
The shooting happened around in the block of West Marquette Road near Englewood and Greater Grand Crossing, Chicago police said.
The victim, an 18-year-old man, was inside a business at the location when four armed offenders exited a vehicle and fired shots at him, police said.
The man was shot multiple times and was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office has identified the victim as 18-year-old Tyrese Smith.
No further information was available as Chicago police continue to investigate.
