Chicago woman shot to death in Near West Side home ID'd by officials

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 42-year-old has been identified as the woman shot and killed on the city's West Side this weekend.

The shooting happened just after midnight in the 2100-Block of W. Jackson Boulevard on Sunday, police said.

Police said a 42-year-oldwoman was found unresponsive inside a home residence with multiple gunshot wounds to the body.

She was rushed to Stroger Hospital, where she was later died.

The victim was identified as Crystal Salter by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

No other information was available. Chicago police are investigating the deadly shooting.
