2 shot while in car in Auburn Gresham, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Two men, including an 18-year-old, were shot and injured while inside a car Sunday night, Chicago police said.

It is believed the shooting occurred in a rideshare vehicle. Chicago police officers were seen responding after two people were shot in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood around 10:15 p.m. Sunday.

Investigators said the scene extended from 87th and State streets and to 87th and Ada streets.

According to police, an 18 and 49-year-old man were in a car when they heard gunshots and felt pain.

Cell phone video captured the aftermath of the shooting.

Police could be seen surrounding a dark parked SUV, with two flat tires on Ada Street

Police taped off the block as they investigated.

Neighbors who did not want to go on camera said they tried to help a man who was shot in the leg before first responders arrived.

The two victims were taken to nearby hospitals, where they were last listed in good condition.

It's unclear what led up to the shooting.
