
CHICAGO (WLS) -- Three people were shot, one fatally, while in a car in the Englewood neighborhood Tuesday morning, Chicago police said.
The shooting took place at about 1:58 a.m. in the 7200-block of South Green Street.
Police said a female driver was wounded in the back and transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where she was listed in critical condition. She was later pronounced dead, police said.
A 20-year-old male passenger was wounded in the shoulder and transported to Advocate Christ Hospital, where he was listed in serious condition.
A 17-year-old passenger was shot in the elbow and transported to the hospital, where he was listed in good condition.
Further details on the shooting were not immediately available and no one is in custody, police said. Area One detectives are investigating.
