Boy, 14, shot in head inside South Side home, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 14-year-old boy was shot in the head while inside a home on the South Side Tuesday night, Chicago police said.

The shooting took place at about 10:34 p.m. in the 300-block of West 106th Street.

Police said they responded to the scene and found the teen inside the home with a wound to the head. He was transported to Comer Children' s Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.

Further details on the shooting were not immediately available.

No one is in custody and Area Two detectives are investigating.
