Man shot, seriously injured near Dan Ryan Expressway in South Loop: Chicago police

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man was found lying in the road early Tuesday morning, near the Dan Ryan Expressway.

Chicago police say he was shot several times about 3 a.m. in the South Loop.

There were evidence markers lining the 1200-block of Ruble Street, just south of Roosevelt Road, when Chopper 7 flew over the scene Tuesday morning.

The man is in serious condition at Stroger Hospital.

Some lanes of the Dan Ryan were shut down for over an hour while police investigated.

Area Three detectives are investigating.
