Man shot near Chicago police headquarters

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man was shot and injured near Chicago police headquarters on Monday.

The shooting happened at about 2:24 a.m. in the 3500-block of S. State Street, Chicago police said.

Police said a 29-year-old man drove himself to Insight Hospital with gunshot wound to the chest.

The victim was transferred to Stroger Hospital and is expected OK.

Chicago police said the victim was not cooperating with their investigation.

Nobody is in custody.
