Teen killed after shots fired into Chicago Lawn home: CPD

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A teenage boy was killed after shots were fired into a home in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood Thursday morning, Chicago police said.

The shooting took place at about 1:27 a.m. in the 6500-block of South Talman Avenue.

The 16-year-old victim was inside a building when someone outside fired shots into the location, police said.

Police said the teen was taken to the hospital for multiple gunshot wounds and was later pronounced dead.

The suspect ran away and police said there is no one in custody, police said. Area one detectives are investigating.
