I-290 reopens after Oak Brook police pursuit ends on Near West Side, state police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A police chase shut down the Eisenhower Expressway on the Near West Side on Thursday.

Chopper 7 was over the scene at about 2:15 p.m. as police investigated the scene near 17th Avenue.

Illinois State Police confirmed that Oak Brook police were were involved in a pursuit that ended on I-290.

Video from Chopper 7 shows a vehicle crashed into median.

The expressway appeared to reopen by 2:32 p.m.

It appeared that a person was taken into custody.

Oak Brook police have not released details.
