All northbound Dan Ryan lanes reopen after hazmat spill, ISP says

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The northbound lanes of the Dan Ryan Expressway were shut down early Sunday morning.

The closure begins near 26th Street, video obtained by ABC7 shows.

Illinois State Police said there was chemical spill on the highway.

At 5:30 a.m. all northbound lanes were closed as crews worked to clean the spill.

By 8 a.m. ISP said all lanes reopened.

It is unknown if anybody was injured.
