Navy Pier offering free Centennial Wheel rides after fog spoils 4th of July fireworks

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Navy Pier is now offering Centennial Wheel rides after fog spoiled the view of the Fourth of July fireworks.

Many guests said they could only see a glow in the clouds instead of the full show. Pier officials said they understand the disappointment.

Navy Pier is offering free Wheel rides on Wednesdays starting at 6 p.m. through Labor Day. Leaders have also invited visitors back for the regular summer fireworks shows on Wednesday and Saturday nights.
