Construction workers find apparent remains on Northwest Side: CPD

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Construction workers found what appear to be remains on Chicago's Northwest Side Wednesday morning, police said.

CPD received a call for a death investigation in the 5700-block of North Avondale Avenue in the city's Old Norwood Park neighborhood about 8:30 a.m.

Police said construction workers, while excavating in the area, found what appear to be remains.

CPD did not immediately provide any additional information about the remains.

Area Five Detectives are investigating.
