CTA Yellow Line suspended after crash involving vehicle

SKOKIE, Ill. (WLS) -- Service on the CTA Yellow Line has been temporarily suspended after a crash involving a vehicle, the CTA said Tuesday afternoon.

Shuttle buses have been requested from Skokie to Howard to provide connecting service through the area, the CTA said.

CTA riders are advised to use alternate routes, such as the No. 97 Skokie bus.

It was not immediately clear if anyone was injured in the crash.

Video of the scene showed an SUV with rear-end damage.

Passengers were seen being evacuated from the train involved.

Skokie police were on the scene.
