Former Colts linebacker deported by Chicago-based ICE agents

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A former NFL linebacker has been detained and deported by Chicago-based Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents.

Daniel Adongo, 37, played for the Indianapolis Colts.

ICE removed him last month after an immigration judge with the Department of Justice ordered him deported to Kenya.

He overstayed his visa back in 2016.

He's been criminally charged for a variety of crimes and convicted at least once since his playing career ended in 2015.
