Man pleads guilty to murder of Chicago rapper 'Tray Savage'

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man has pleaded guilty to murder of a Chicago rapper known as "Tray Savage."

Kentray Young was shot and killed on June 19, 2020, in the Chatman neighborhood.

The Chicago rapper was signed to Chief Keef's record label.

Demitri Jackson was accused of being in the same street gang as Young.

Jackson was charged with Young's murder. Prosecutors did not say what led up to the shooting.

Nearly five years after the deadly shooting, Jackson pleaded guilty to one count of Murder.

He was sentenced to 29 years, to be served 100%.
