
HOBART, Ind. (WLS) -- Indiana State Police are investigating a deadly three-vehicle crash.
The crash happened on Saturday at about 5:15 p.m. on I-65 near 73rd Avenue in Hobart.
Troopers said a retired school bus, which had been converted into an RV, slammed into a bridge support under the 73rd Avenue overpass.
The driver was killed in the crash, which also involved an SUV and a pickup truck.
The Lake County, Indiana Coroner's Office identified the man as 60-year-old William Binkley of Waukegan.
A passenger of the RV was taken to the University of Chicago hospital with life threatening injuries.
Investigators said the pickup driver showed signs of being under the influence and was taken into custody at the Lake County, Indiana jail.
