22-year-old man with autism found safe after going missing for hours, Elgin police say

ELGIN, Ill. (WLS) -- Police in west suburban Elgin say a missing man has been found safe on Monday.

Cayden Weber is a 22-year-old who has autism.

He went missing on Monday around 9:50 a.m. in the 600-block of Clark Street.

Police confirmed on Monday evening that Weber has been found safe.

"We would like to inform the community that Cayden has been located and is unharmed. He will be reunited with his family shortly," the police department said in a statement.
