
CHICAGO (WLS) -- A drive-by shooter killed a man who was sitting inside his South Side home on Saturday morning, Chicago police said.
Police said the shooting happened in the Englewood neighborhood's 5700-block of South May Street just after 5 a.m.
Someone inside a grey sedan opened fire, striking the 45-year-old victim in the head, police said. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as 45-year-old Antwan Washington.
Police said the sedan's driver fled the scene northbound on May Street.
Area One detectives are investigating. Authorities did not immediately provide further information about the shooting.
