Car crashes into Evanston hair salon

EVANSTON, Ill. (WLS) -- A car crashed into a north suburban hair salon Wednesday morning.

It happened at the Great Clips on Main Street in Evanston.

Fire officials said there were people in the salon at the time of the crash, but no one was injured.

The driver was not injured either.

It's not clear what caused the car to crash into the building.

Firefighters say there is no structural damage to the building, just the smashed window.

Video of the scene showed shattered glass; the car appeared to be almost halfway into the business.
