CHICAGO (WLS) -- After sitting since early Sunday morning, a crashed car was finally removed from a West Town condo.
The homeowners said a Chicago inspector came out after ABC7 Chicago aired at story at 10 p.m. Monday.
The couple is concerned about their safety.
An older woman crashed into the townhome early Sunday.
She hit the gas instead of the brakes.
There's been a hole in the building ever since.
"It's just mind-boggling that it's taken this long," John Baquero said.
The family said Chicago police have been vigilant because someone tried to break into the car.
