Shooting investigation leads to lockdown at Evanston Township High School, police say

EVANSTON, Ill. (WLS) -- A shooting investigation led to a precautionary lockdown at Evanston Township High School on Thursday, police said.

Evanston police said a shooting happened at Mason Park, located at Church Street and Dodge Avenue.

The high school was placed under a precautionary soft lockdown, police said.

Police urged people to avoid the area.

Evanston police said no injuries had been reported at Mason Park.
