
CAROL STREAM, Ill. (WLS) -- A federal lawsuit over a deadly police shooting in Carol Stream is settled.
The Daily Herald reports that the family of Isaac Goodlow III will get $9.4 million.
Officers responding to a domestic violence call killed Goodlow, who was unarmed, inside his apartment in February 2024 by.
The officers were not charged, but the lawsuit claimed police used excessive force.

Officer Daniel Pfingston fired the fatal shot, officials said in 2024. The village says that Pfingston is no longer employed by the Carol Stream Police Department.
In a statement issued in 2024, the DuPage County state's attorney called the shooting a tragedy but said the evidence must support a conviction beyond a reasonable doubt.
