As part of the appeal process, officials asked people who suffered flood damage to submit details of the damage starting Wednesday at 8 a.m. by visiting https://iemaohs.illinois.gov/recovery.

Officials encouraged residents and business owners to submit any new or previously unreported information regarding their damages or needs, including photos of damage, documentation of alternative housing needs, reports of illness or health impacts, mold remediation efforts or replacement of furnaces, water heaters, or major appliances.

The deadline to submit is Nov. 7.
