Police investigation in Cicero impacts Metra service; video shows stopped Amtrak train on tracks

CICERO, Ill. (WLS) -- A police investigation in the west suburbs is impacting Metra service on Monday afternoon.

Around 2:15 p.m., Metra said inbound and outbound BNSF train movement was halted near Cicero. Trains are now back on the move with extensive delays expected.

Video captured an Amtrak train stopped on the tracks near Cermak and Christiana.

Authorities did not immediately provide further information about the police investigation.
