MIAMI (WLS) -- A Florida boat captain is facing federal charges in a parasailing crash that killed a suburban mother, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Florida said Monday.
Supraja Alaparthi, 33, of Elk Grove Village was killed, and two boys were injured, back in 2022 when they were parasailing near the Old Seven Mile Bridge in the Florida Keys.
The boat's operator, Daniel Couch, 52, allegedly cut their line during dangerous winds.
