The Original Mr. Beef opens at Chicago's Midway International Airport

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Original Mr. Beef now has its own location at Midway International Airport.

The local favorite is located in Concourse B near Gate B14.

Travelers will be get to enjoy its classic Chicago-style Italian beef sandwiches at the airport.

The new restaurant will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Mayor Brandon Johnson was in attendance at the ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday.

The local spot was the inspiration for the hit-show "The Bear" starring Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri.

The new restaurant is the 24th local business on display at Midway airport.
