GIBSON CITY, Ill. (WLS) -- A search is underway in Central Illinois for a man suspected of shooting a Ford County Sheriff's Deputy and a Gibson City Police Officer.

Officers were responding to reports of a naked man early Saturday morning at his home in Gibson City, Illinois when shots were fired, officials said.

The shooting scene is about 30 miles north of Champaign, Illinois.

Both the officer and deputy were hit, but are expected to be okay, officials said.

The house caught fire shortly after the shooting, police said.

State police said the suspect is likely armed and dangerous.
