DETROIT -- A Michigan high school student is safe after a frightening abduction in broad daylight.
Police in Hamtramck say a 16-year-old girl was taken at gunpoint Monday morning, while she was walking to her bus stop.
Investigators say other students witnessed the abduction and helped police quickly track the teen using cell phone and social media information.

Officers pulled the suspect over at a gas station in nearby Detroit less than a half-hour later and took them into custody.
The teen was found safe.
Police say a weapon was also recovered.
They credit fast-acting witnesses for helping them find the victim quickly.
