Delivery driver tried to lure teen girl from NW Side porch with offer of making 'extra money': CPD

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police are warning of an attempted kidnapping/child luring incident last week on the city's Northwest Side.

CPD said the incident happened about 6:30 p.m. Friday in the 6200-block of North Naper Avenue in Norwood Park.

Police said a 13-year-old girl was sitting on her front porch when a male delivery driver approached her.

CPD said the man asked her if she wanted "to make extra money" and said he could show her on his phone. He then asked her to follow him, police said.

The girl then went inside her home.

The suspect is described as being 20 to 30 years old and about 5-feet, 7-inches to 5-feet, 10-inches tall. Police said he has long dreadlocks.
