1 in custody after Hanover Park standoff

HANOVER PARK, Ill. (WLS) -- One person was taken into custody after a standoff in Hanover Park Monday morning.

Police were called to investigate an armed person in the 6500-block of Church Street.

A soft lockdown was put in place for the surrounding area and during the standoff, at least two shots were fired inside the residence, police said.

At about 10 a.m., a person was taken into custody and transported to a hospital for treatment.
