2 found shot to death in Harvey home identified; dog also found dead
A Harvey shooting killed Aaron Jones, Jwon Martin and a dog at a home near Vine Avenue and 150th Street, officials said.

HARVEY, Ill. (WLS) -- A man and woman who were found shot to death in a south suburban Harvey home have now both been identified by officials.

Police responded about 7:20 a.m. Thursday to a home near the intersection of Vine Avenue and 150th Street for a reported possible medical issue.

When police arrived, they found two people with gunshot wounds.

They were pronounced dead on the scene.

The Cook County Medical Examiner identified one of the victims Thursday as 50-year-old Aaron Jones.

On Friday, the medical examiner identified the woman as 46-year-old Jwon Martin.

Two dogs were also shot during the incident, a Harvey spokesperson said. One dog died from its injuries, while the other remains in critical condition.

Police are investigating the incident as a double homicide.
