Spooky event in Rosemont benefits Scouting America

ROSEMONT, Ill. (WLS) -- There is a spooky event in Rosemont to benefit Scouting America.

Haunted Hollow is open Friday and Saturday.

It's a very scary, very elaborate haunted campus at 9201 West Higgins Road.

It is put together by the Takhone Lodge Order of the Arrow.

Lodge Chief William Plizga and Summer Ryan, vice chief of communications, joined ABC7 Chicago Thursday to talk more about it.

Tommy Newhouse, the Portage Creek chapter chief, also walked through one of the haunted sites.

They talked about how many sites there are, what is involved in planning and executing the event, how the money raised is used and what the Order of the Arrow is all about.
